Benefit of having DC output in Microntech KILEWS controller

Microntech KILEWS presents a screw counter controller for an electric screwdriver with tightening count, torque display and output tightening status, together with error proof functions. These are also able to prevent errors from double hits, tightening the number of screws, and tightening time. With various I/O, controllers can be connected to your PLC and integrated with your automation equipment. Counter controller is compatible with PLC based process control systems and accurate counting on screw fastening. The auto-learning function built-in can judge the simplest set value. And also, this counter is able to set running speed & timing using the Slow-Start function. Increase the auto-learning screw fastening time mode, allowing users to aim at simulating the timing of specific screw fastening.

Benefit of DC output-

The controller provides tightening status like OK, NG, OK-All and also the screwdriver Enable/disable function. For controlling the operation through these I/O’s signals, external devices like sensors, relays etc, are connected and to operate these devices, DC input voltage is required. If the KILEWS controller does not provide DC voltage, users need to take extra SMPS for this. To get the output signal on the tower lamp, DC 24V is required. KILEWS controller provides DC voltage also, along with a tightening status signal. A KILEWS controller has a current control IC. If external DC voltage is used, it can damage the I/O port of the controller and other controlling devices. So, KILEWS provides DC voltage to operate these devices, like relay, sensor, tower lamp etc. So DC output from the Microntech KILEWS controller is very beneficial to reduce the extra cost and to protect the devices and I/O PCB.

Advantage of self locking feature in Microntech KILEWS tool when controller detects error

KILEWS developed an industrial brushed and brushless electric screwdriver series with counter controller SKP-BC-32/40-HL (V3.0/3.1) with tightening count and output tightening status, together with error proof functions. These are also able to prevent errors from double hits, tightening the number of screws, and tightening time. With various I/O, controllers can be connected to your PLC and integrated with your automation equipment. Counter controller is compatible with PLC based process control systems and accurate counting on screw fastening. KILEWS screwdrivers are compact, lightweight, ergonomically designed, and easy to use, less noise, environment friendly with dust-free operation.

Self locking (enable /disable) feature –

Microntech KILEWS Controller can detect the different kinds of NG like double hit, screw missing, free screw etc. Now any NG does come, then the controller locks the screwdriver. To enable it, the screwdriver controller needs a confirmation signal from an external switch or PLC. After getting a confirmation signal, the screwdriver will go into enable mode now it starts working. In this condition, the operator first changes or corrects that NG part, if the tool just indicates the NG signal and is still working, it means its enable/disable function is not working and there is a chance there may be NG parts passing from the assembling line. The self-locking function is very beneficial, to control the NG and for complete poka-yoke.
